Golf passes are purchased at the Naden gym kiosk and may be ordered in person or by phone up to a week in advance. The kiosk is open 7 days per week, weekdays from 0600 to 2200, weekends/stat holidays from 0900 to 2000 hours. During the hour after opening and the hour prior to closing, staff will not accept reservations or conduct cash etc business, that is their time to ensure all facilities are on line/ready for business and conversely to shut down and cash out after the day's business. You may pick up passes that are already paid for during any time they are open. They accept cash, debit and credit cards (VISA / MasterCard) between the hours of:
Passes for weekend play may be ordered on Friday for the weekend a week in the future. This enables members to book Olympic View and Arbutus Ridge a week in advance (they require pass numbers when making tee times). You may pay for passes by phone using accepted credit cards, or you may pay for them when you pick them up. However, the kiosk staff will only give you your pass numbers once they are paid for, so if you need them before pickup (for example to book at OV or Arbutus) then pay by phone and the kiosk staff will give you your number.
A member may pick up and pay for passes for other members. Kiosk staff shall verify membership, as will the Golf Course. Rules apply as if the members themselves were purchasing them. CANCELLATIONS: The CFBEGA Executive understands there are circumstances whereby you have booked a pass and are not able to golf on a particular day. Please have consideration for your fellow members and for the Golf Courses. If you are unable to use your pass on the stamped date, you must:: Call the course (if you reserved a tee time) and inform them that you need to cancel. (Some courses reserve the right to charge a fee for this cancellation for which you are responsible). Either: Call the Kiosk and advise staff, at which time they will make a notation in the reservation book and you are prohibited from using that pass that day. They are then free to sell this day's pass to another member. Your pass will still be retained by yourself and re-stamped for future play, Or: Change the name on the pass and give/sell it to another CFBEGA member and call the course if a tee time was reserved to change the name the reservation is under.
The courses and the Kiosk are open 7 days per week, so there is no excuse for not notifying them of your need to cancel. Remember, even if you can't play on a given day, members may be waiting for a cancellation so that they may play on that day. Please be fair to your fellow members and make all reasonable efforts to put your pass back into circulation.
Summer Season: Members may advance book only one Olympic View pass per regular or long weekend, however after 12:30 the day prior to play, any pass not yet purchased is available to any member. A maximum of one re-stamp is permitted in the event of being unable to use a pass on the date stamped. Only in very special circumstances, such as the course being closed, will a second re-stamp be authorized. Rain or other bad weather does not constitute "a special circumstance". Remember - when you buy a pass, you have made a commitment to play and you are preventing another member from playing that day. Make sure before you book a pass that you are able to play - it may also be wise to call the course before booking to make sure the time you want is available.
Winter Season: Refunds: Provided your pass does not have the maximum number of re-stamps (one for summer, three for winter), and the pass is not over a year old, it may be exchanged or surrendered for refund at the kiosk. Refunds shall be in the format of the original payment unless the payment was not specified/could not be determined in which case Kiosk staff will refund cash. All passes expire one year from date of issue.
